Product Description

Paclobutrazol (PBZ) is a Plant Growth Regulator and Fungicide. It is a known antagonist of the plant hormone gibberellin. It is inhibiting gibberellin biosynthesis, reducing internodial growth to give stouter stems, increasing root growth, causing early fruitset and increasing seedset in plants such as tomato and pepper. PBZ is used by arborists to reduce shoot growth and has been shown to have additional positive effects on trees and shrubs.Among those are improved resistance to drought stress, darker green leaves, higher resistance against fungi and bacteria, and enhanced development of roots. Cambial growth, as well as shoot growth, has been shown to be reduced in some tree species. It has No Toxicity Against Mammals.

Usage

1. Cultivating strong seedlings in rice: The best medication period for rice is the one leaf, one heart period, which is 5-7 days after sowing. The appropriate dosage for use is 15% paclobutrazol wettable powder, with 3 kilograms per hectare and 1500 kilograms of water added.

Prevention of rice lodging: During the rice jointing stage (30 days before heading), use 1.8 kilograms of 15% paclobutrazol wettable powder per hectare and 900 kilograms of water.

2. Cultivate strong seedlings of rapeseed during the three leaf stage, using 600-1200 grams of 15% paclobutrazol wettable powder per hectare and 900 kilograms of water.

3. To prevent soybeans from growing excessively during the initial flowering period, use 600-1200 grams of 15% paclobutrazol wettable powder per hectare and add 900 kilograms of water.

4. Wheat growth control and seed dressing with suitable depth of paclobutrazol have a strong seedling, increased tillering, reduced height, and increased yield effect on wheat.

Attentions

1. Paclobutrazol is a strong growth inhibitor with a half-life of 0.5-1.0 years in soil under normal conditions, and a long residual effect period. After spraying in the field or vegetable seedling stage, it often affects the growth of subsequent crops.

2. Strictly control the dosage of drug. Although the higher the concentration of drug, the stronger the effect of length control is, but the growth also decreases. If the growth is slow after excessive control, and the effect of length control cannot be achieved at a low dosage, an appropriate amount of spray should be evenly applied.

3. The control of length and tillering decreases with the increase of sowing amount, and the sowing amount of hybrid late rice does not exceed 450 kilograms/hectare. Using tillers to replace seedlings is based on sparse sowing. Avoid flooding and excessive application of nitrogen fertilizer after application.

4. The growth promoting effect of paclobutrazol, gibberellin, and indoleacetic acid has a blocking antagonistic effect. If the dosage is too high and the seedlings are inhibited excessively, nitrogen fertilizer or gibberellin can be added to rescue them.

5. The dwarfing effect of paclobutrazol on different varieties of rice and wheat varies. When applying it, it is necessary to flexibly increase or decrease the dosage appropriately, and the soil medicine method should not be used.
