One of the Most Outstanding Synergists Piperonly Butoxide

Piperonyl butoxide (PBO) is one of the most outstanding synergists to increase Pesticide effectiveness. Not only it can obviously increase pesticide`s effect more than ten times, but also it can extend pesticide`s effect period. PBO is widely used in agriculture, family health and storage protection. It is the only authorized super-effect Insecticide used in food hygiene (food production) by the UN Hygiene Organization.

Chemical Properties

Light yellow to light brown (pure products are colorless, and commercially available products are generally colored) transparent oily liquid. No odor or slight odor. The taste is slightly bitter. Coloring easily changes when exposed to light. It is neutral. Insoluble in water. Miscible with organic solvents such as ethanol and benzene.

Usage

Piperonyl butoxide can enhance the insecticidal activity of pyrethroids and various insecticides such as pyrethroids, rotenone, and carbamates. It also has synergistic effects on fenitrothion, dichlorvos, chlordane, trichloromethane, atrazine, and can improve the stability of pyrethroid extracts.
