Tilmicosin is an animal-specific semi-synthetic large bad lactone antibacterial drug similar to tylosin. The sensitive gram-positive bacteria include Staphylococcus aureus (including penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus), pneumococcus, Streptococcus, Bacillus anthracis, Erysipelas suis, Listeria, Clostridium putrefaction, Clostridium emphysema, etc. Sensitive Gram-negative bacteria include Haemophilus, Meningococcus, Pasteurella, etc., which are also effective against Mycoplasma. It has stronger activity on Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella and Mycoplasma of livestock and poultry than tylosin. 95% of Pasteurella hemolyticus strains are sensitive to this product.
