Product Description
Tetramethrin is a potent synthetic Insecticide in the pyrethroid family.It is a white crystalline solid with a melting point of 65-80 °C. The commercial product is a mixture of stereoisomers.It is commonly used as Mosquito Larvae Killer, and affects the insect’s nervous system,but it has No Toxicity Against Mammals and has no effective on Public Health. It is found in many Household Insecticide products.
Application
Its knockdown speed to mosquitoes, flies etc. is swift. It also has repellent action to cockroaches. It is often formulated with pesticides of great killing power. It can be formulated into spray insect killer and aerosol insect killer.
Toxicity
Tetramethrin is a low toxicity insecticide. Acute percutaneous LD50 in rabbits>2g/kg. No irritating effects on the skin, eyes, nose, and respiratory tract. Under the experimental conditions, no mutagenic, carcinogenic, or reproductive effects were observed. This product is toxic to fish Chemicalbook, with a carp TLm (48 hours) of 0.18mg/kg.
