It has a broad spectrum of activity, and is very effective as a repellent against mosquitoes, biting flies, chiggers, fleas and ticks. What’s more, it is available as aerosol products for application to human skin and clothing, skin lotions, impregnated materials (e.g. towelettes, wristbands, tablecloths), products registered for use on animals and products registered for use on surfaces.

Properties: Technical is colorless to slightly yellow transparent liquid. B.P.160℃/19mmHg,desity 0.996-0.998. Insoluble in water, soluble in vegetable oil, hardly soluble in mineral oil. It is stable under thermal storage condition, unstable to light.
