Insecticide

A chemical agent used to control pests.

Moxidectin

Compared with Abamectin, its insecticidal, acaricidal and nematicidal activities have increased by 10 to 100 times, and the insecticidal spectrum has broadened; it mainly has stomachic action and also has contactic action; the pests will undergo irreversible paralysis, stop feeding, and it takes 2 to 4 days before they die; the killing speed is relatively slow; the residual effect lasts for a long time, 10 to 15 days for crops and 15 to 25 days for mites. It has no internal absorption performance for crops, but it can penetrate the epidermal tissue; it has extremely high activity against lepidopteran pests, mites, Coleoptera and Homoptera pests, and thrips, and is not likely to cause pests to develop resistance; it is easily degraded in soil; it is highly safe for all crops in protected areas or at 10 times the recommended dosage; there is a second insecticidal peak after 10 days.

Bifenthrin

Promotes larval molting of Lepidoptera; Contrary to other mechanisms of inhibiting larval molting; Effective for both old and young larvae; Stops feeding within 6-8 hours (stomachic effect), more rapid than molting inhibitors, starts to die after 3-4 days; No phytotoxicity, safe for crops, no residual spots.

Malathion

The toxicity decreases when the temperature is low. In such cases, the application rate or concentration can be appropriately increased; it is effective against chewing and piercing pests; it has contact and stomachicidal effects, as well as certain fumigative and penetration effects; it has a strong knockdown effect on pests, performing better at higher temperatures; the residual effect is short; it is prone to cause phytotoxicity to some varieties such as sorghum, melons and beans, grapes, cherries, etc., and should be used with caution; it should be discontinued 10 days before harvest.

Imidacloprid

It is applied during the early larval stage. The older the larva, the worse the efficacy; it inhibits chitin synthesis; it has stomachicidal effects and can penetrate the epidermis of insects and eggs to exert its effect, but has no systemic effect; it is sprayed on the upper surface of plant leaves; the efficacy lasts for more than 30 days and is resistant to rain erosion; it is safe to natural enemies and has high activity against lepidopteran larvae and mosquito and fly larvae; it begins to die 3 days after application and reaches the peak of mortality 5 days later; it is ineffective against adult insects.

Quisulphos

Insecticide and acaricide. It has stomachic and contactic effects, but no systemic or fumigant properties. It has good penetration ability and has a certain egg-killing effect. It degrades quickly on plants and has a short residual effect. It is effective in controlling chewing and sucking pests.

Dichlorvos

Pyridine-based chlorinated nicotine; Contactic and stomachic, with good systemic activity; Inhibits the activity of acetylcholine receptors; Effectively controls aphids, leafhoppers, scale insects, mealybugs, leaf miners, small pests of lepidopteran family,蓟mites, and various pests of the order of Coleoptera such as beetles, thrips, and thrips; As a granule, it can be used for soil treatment to control underground pests; It is fast-acting, has a long residual effect, and can last for about 20 days.

Thiazinone

Iprocarb

It has a killing effect by contact, has certain penetration and conduction activity, and is highly effective quickly; it is mainly used for the control of rice leaf hoppers and leaf beetles, and can also treat thrips; it cannot be used together with bentazon and must be spaced more than 10 days apart; this agent causes damage to taro and should not be used.

Bifenthrin

Dinotefuran

Rapid action; contactic and stomachic effects; also an excellent egg-killing agent and can penetrate the plant and move upward through body fluids.

Phosalone

Contactic and stomachic effects; no systemic action; rapid knockdown, can control soil pests and larvae of lepidopteran pests; easily decomposes upon exposure to light; sensitive to phosalone in melons, beans, sugar beets, and corn; stop using 5 days before harvest.

Deltamethrin

Broad-spectrum, stomachicidal, contact killing and fumigant; effective against subterranean pests; Coleoptera, Lepidoptera pests and mites; sensitive to seedlings of melons.

Cypermethrin

Contact killing, stomachicidal effect, also repellent effect, strong knockdown power, fast killing speed; effective against Lepidoptera pests, also effective against aphids and small green leafhoppers. Poor efficacy against mites and planthoppers; longer residual period; weak penetration, less contamination of fruit interior.

Bifenthrin

Contact killing effect, combined with stomachicidal, repellent and repellent effect; effective against Lepidoptera larvae, ineffective against mites; weak penetration, less contamination of fruit skin.

Triflumethrin

Bacillus thuringiensis

Bacterial; stomach poison, produces bacterial toxin; slow onset; residual effect lasts about 10 days; the higher the temperature, the more the insects feed, the better the effect; larvae of lepidopteran pests such as cabbage caterpillar, small cabbage moth, striped night moth, sugar beet night moth, silver-winged night moth, etc.; effective only above 30℃; use 2-3 days in advance.

Avermectin

Broad-spectrum antibiotic insecticide and acaricide; stomach poison and contact poison, repellent.

Quaternary ethyl aldehyde

Strong attractant; spring and autumn rainy seasons; after sowing or transplanting of seedlings; due to the weak activity of snails at low temperatures (below 1.5℃) or high temperatures (above 35℃), the control effect is affected.

Dinethrin

A sulfur-based insecticide and acaricide; used on cotton, fruits, vegetables, and tea plants; has both systemic and fumigant effects; converts into a substance with insecticidal activity under ultraviolet light and is suitable for use on sunny days; resistant aphids, big leaf bugs, and tobacco aphids, etc.; controls damage caused by small cabbage moths, cabbage butterflies, and night moths.

Dichlorvos

Inhibits chitin synthesis enzyme; causes sterility in adults, is toxic to larvae, pupae, adults, and eggs; has more significant effects on larvae of lepidopteran, diptera, and homoptera insects.

Fluvalinate

Insecticidal and ovicidal activity, and fast-acting; especially effective in controlling cotton bollworms; inhibits the feeding speed of various lepidopteran, diptera, and homoptera insects; has a relatively fast knockdown effect.
