I. Types of Sprayers

II. Usage Method of the Sprayer

1. Backpack sprayer. At present, there are two types: the pressure rod type and the electric type. For the pressure rod type, one hand should press the rod to apply pressure and the other hand should hold the nozzle to spray water. The electric type uses a battery, is lightweight and labor-saving, and is currently a common spray tool in rural areas.

When using a backpack sprayer, first apply pressure, then turn on the switch to spray. The pressure should be uniform and not too high to avoid damaging the sprayer. After spraying, clean the sprayer and pay attention to maintenance after use.

2. Pedal sprayer. The pedal sprayer mainly consists of a pedal, a liquid pump, an air chamber and a pressure rod. It has a simple structure, high pressure, and requires two people to operate together. It is relatively labor-saving and has a low cost, making it suitable for small family orchards.

During use, first of all, it is necessary to keep the plunger of the liquid pump lubricated and ensure that there is oil in the oil filling hole. If it is used for a while, loosen the oil seal cover. After use, drain all the liquid medicine from the machine and then rinse it clean with clear water.

3. Motorized sprayer. Motorized sprayers are sprayers driven by diesel engines, gasoline engines or electric motors. Generally, when spraying to control mites and aphids, nozzles can be used, and when controlling some large pests, spray guns are used. When spraying pesticides, constantly stir the liquid in the pesticide bucket to prevent sedimentation. After spraying, clean the sprayer with clean water. Drain the liquid medicine from the pump and the pipe.
